What can ImmunoVation do for me?

I am an immunologist (PhD, University of Halle-Wittenberg) and the founder of ImmunoVation. My work has covered the full path from bench to clinic: as a postdoc at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology, as a research associate at UCLA, and as head of a laboratory at Huntington Medical Research Institutes, where my team developed treatments for the effects of preeclampsia. I contributed to the development of a marketed therapeutic and played a key role in the acquisition of a biotech's main asset.

What I do best is connect the pieces: a "weird signal" in the data, a biologic that "shouldn't do that", a result that fits none of the existing models. I work out the mechanism, test it with simulation where it helps, and turn it into a decision your team can act on.

I have also built and led clinical and preclinical programs, including IRB/IACUC approvals, site setup and CRO liaison. I can translate between scientists, clinicians, investors and partners.

Fields: reproductive immunology and hypertensive pregnancy disorders, immune tolerance, autoimmune liver disease, nuclear hormone receptors in immunity, herpesviruses.

Methods: flow cytometry (clinical and research), experimental design, mechanistic modeling and simulation in Python (ODE models, surrogate models, optimization).

Alongside consulting, I am studying Computational Science (currently in my second year). I use it to build the quantitative side of my work: simulation of immune dynamics, model validation and optimization. The case studies on the Services page and the open-source code on GitHub come from this work.
